Dr. Govinda Tandon is a historian, author, cultural heritage conservationist, animal rights advocate, and compassionate humanist who has devoted over forty years to the service of humanity and the nation. A powerful voice for nonviolence and dignity, he has played a pivotal role in preserving Nepal’s cultural legacy while championing the cause of the voiceless.

Dr. Tandon served with distinction at the Pashupati Area Development Trust and Tribhuvan University, contributing significantly to the academic and spiritual fabric of the country. He is also the visionary founder behind several transformative initiatives, including Nepal’s nonviolent animal welfare movements and Manavsewa Ashram, a humanitarian organization that embodies his lifelong commitment to human dignity and care for the marginalized.
